What goal are you working towards? I’ve got some good ones I am trying to work my way through and the biggest thing I am finding now that I am a Mum is this whole stop & start of momentum.  Something always comes up right!

I am full of the best & legitimate excuses.  Seriously life is not easy sailing!

Do any of these sounds familiar? I am a mum, my kids don’t sleep, I don’t know what to do next, baby brain, I am so busy, I am exhausted, I don’t have family near by to help, I don’t have enough money, my husband always brings chocolate home,  I have NO time…. And on & on it goes.

It is normal with any goal of any description to come with highs and low and plateaus.  How do you keep momentum, move through the plateau and achieve some of the dream goals on your list?

  1. Decide what you want. You have to really want something to be able to keep going after it when things get a bit tough.  Otherwise it’s not really important, you wont make it a priority.  So what do you want? What is your passion? Why is it important to you?

  1. Get some guidance or coaching. When these road blocks hit reach out to a friend, coach or someone you know who has been there before.  There have been billions of mothers before me who have been through the same challenges I am facing today.  Reach out to these people and ask them what worked, how did they push through, what little gems of wisdom do they offer to inspire you.

  1. Take ownership of it. Don’t pass the buck & blame anyone else – it’s my kids, my partner doesn’t support me, I don’t have family around to help, I don’t have enough money, I don’t have enough time.  At the end of the day, it all comes down to you.  You have everything you need to be successful & you deserve it.

  1. Get organised. Write a plan of what you have on everyday.  What do you need to do?  What is your top priority?  Do you really need to procrastinate and clean the toilet right now, or can you that wait till later on today and you take the opportunity now to work on your little goal.? How can you restructure your day or find little pockets of time?

Yes, your path & progress may be a little slower than you would hope with children in your life so give yourself room for flexibility in your plan.  Include your family & let them be your little source of inspiration rather than a hurdle.

Good luck for everything you want to achieve, enjoy the journey & reach out to me if you need some help.
